If you are interested in getting started, just download Reshade, check the boxes for all the shaders to be installed, direct reshade to your FFXIV_DX11 exe file under game. Here are image examples side by side of default and my preset:
This preset is a good balance for eye candy and performance and readability to your UI :) I made this because there are a lot of really weird presets out there that seem to be popular that seem to over expose lights, add dark shadows and ruin the UI and maps.
